MM Concerts - Naima Joris – Remember
Naima Joris, daughter of the Belgian jazz musician Chris Joris, has been singing for some time, but mainly in backing choirs. It was actually by accident that she found her real voice—a deep alto—when she was sitting in the living room singing Joni Mitchell's Both Sides Now.
Clever arrangements offer the band members ample opportunity to shine, but it’s mainly Naima’s intoxicating and passionate voice that grabs our attention.
Line-up
Naima Joris - Vocals, saxophone & piano
Niels Van Heertum - Euphonium & trumpet
Vitja Pauwels - Guitar
Lara Rosseel - Double bass
