Partners and Collaborations
Music Meeting is an active member of networks, social initiatives and programs co-funded by Creative Europe. Below we list a number of important collaborations that we are proud of. For all our partners, check out the partner page.
Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals
The Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals (FWMF) is a network of festivals focusing on global music and local cultures. We cherish urban grooves and traditional expressions, we care for creation and for collective musical heritage.
The main focus of the FWMF is artistic. We are a member-driven network that loves to exchange music, collaborate on inspiring projects and join forces with exciting new initiatives. We share artists, work together as equals worldwide and are not afraid of artistic risks. Interaction and collaboration between our members are our core activities, but the FWMF also seeks to facilitate links to other festivals and networks. The network has over 50 members, representing a wide variety of music festivals. Membership is for all festival organizers with a worldwide approach, presenting music in the area of world, ethnic, traditional, folk and roots music.
Europe Jazz Network
Europe Jazz Network (EJN) is a nonprofit Europe-wide association of producers, presenters and supporting organisations who specialise in creative music, contemporary jazz and improvised music created from a distinctly European perspective.
The membership in August 2022 includes 183 organisations (Festivals, clubs and concert venues, national/regional support organisations, Honorary members) in 34 countries. EJN exists to support the identity and diversity of jazz in Europe and broaden awareness of this vital area of music as a cultural and educational force. EJN's mission is to encourage, promote and support the development of the creative music sector in Europe and to create opportunities for artists, organisers and audiences from the different countries to meet and communicate. EJN believes that creative music contributes to social and emotional growth and economic prosperity. It is an invaluable channel for the process of inter-cultural dialogue, communication and collaboration. And music is a positive force for harmony and understanding between people from the diversity of cultures inherent in the European family. Music Meeting joined EJN in 2022.
Keychange
Keychange is a movement fighting for a sustainable music industry. We support talented but underrepresented artists and encourage organisations to take a pledge for gender equality. As we manifest this goal together, Keychange champions statistics, achievements, and our roster of talent, allies and leaders. Music Meeting has declared to present minimum 50% of acts lead by female/ underrepresented gender artists.
Sounds of Europe
Sounds Of Europe is an international network of 13 festivals from 11 countries, sharing artists and knowledge, with the goal to show the enormous diversity and richness of the European music. Sounds Of Europe focuses on music rooted in local or migrated traditions, until the most contemporary forms of it, with a strong emphasis on the musicianship of the artists.
