Way of working programmers

The program of Music Meeting is built with care throughout the year and is finalized between September and November in the year preceding the festival. 

In making the yearly festival selection, the programmers of Music Meeting aim for a program of the highest quality, with a strong focus on diversity and the live music experience offered by the performing artists. As we are part of Keychange, our program has an equal gender balance and we strive for a balance between international acts and artists based in the Netherlands. A central part of the festival program is reserved for a focus country each year, and we collaborate with guestcurators.

Music Meeting celebrates connection by endorsing encounters and fostering the future. We actively cooperate with regional, national and international festivals, organisations and venues, as well as participating in international networks like Sounds of Europe. We also offer various talent development programs and facilitate unique musical encounters through our residencies program and composition commissions. 

Music Meeting is offered over 2000 concerts per year, with only 30 concert slots to fill.
