MM Concerts - Tcha Limberger Trio
What Tcha Limberger, born blind, lacks in sight, he more than makes up for with his hearing. He learned to play guitar at the age of six, and two years later he was already a soloist on stage. Later, Tcha also learned to play the banjo and the clarinet, but because of his deep passion for Hungarian gypsy music he eventually chose the violin. Tcha spread his wings and moved to Budapest, where he became the pupil of masters such as Bela Horvath.
The trio he forms with Benjamin Clement and Vilmos Csiskos began when he wrote music for the ballet performance Patchagonia. The men discovered their shared passion for jazz and gipsy music and combined these with traditionals from Hungary and Romania. Many a heart will melt when Tcha starts singing, because this untrained voice comes straight from the heart and soul.
