Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors

Singer Maryanka Golovchenko has many notable collaborations and projects to her name. During Music Meeting she will show her versatility during three concerts, always with her beautiful voice and musical curiosity as the centerpiece. Together with violinist Anna Antipova and pianist Katharine Ziabliuk, Golovchenko will perform a musical ode to the fantastic film Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors by director Sergej Parajanov.

Thanks to the use of electronics and numerous traditional Ukrainian instruments, the very special atmosphere of the film is also captured in music. The truly beautiful use of color in the film is also reflected in the music through the way the vocals and instruments sound together, creating a wonderful palette of different timbres. Prepare for an intimate and incomparable experience.
