MM Sessions - Breno Virícimo & Gabriel Milliet
With roots in São Paulo, Gabriel Milliet is a singer-songwriter, composer of film soundtracks and multi-instrumentalist. In his songs – which he regards as letters or old analogue photographs – he sings about the ‘distances’ that an immigrant experiences in everyday life, and about finding his feet in the Netherlands, the ‘flat country below sea level’.
His fellow countryman Breno Virícimo is no stranger to Music Meeting Festival audiences where he played in 2019 with his group Roda da Holanda. Virícimo has a feeling for all the colours and shades of the rich music of Brazil: from música popular brasileira to bossa nova and more experimental genres.
