MM Concerts - Ramón Valle & Reinier Baas

Ramón Valle emigrated to the Netherlands in part because of the country’s liberal jazz scene. In his impressionistic playing, latin, classical and jazz music merge seamlessly.

Reinier Baas' guitar playing is also fluid - not too smooth, but apparently effortless. He likes to defy expectations, challenge his fellow musicians and mislead listeners. Naturally, Valle and Baas have common grounds, but it is precisely the juxtaposition of Valle's impressionistic playing and Baas’ adventurous streak which makes for an exciting musical exchange of ideas.
