The 38th edition of Music Meeting Festival took place during the Whitsun weekend on May 18, 19 and 20, 2024, in Nijmegen's familiar green Park Brakkenstein - at least, on Saturday and Sunday. In fact, the third festival day was organized for the first time in De Lindenberg, right in the heart of the city.
Musical encounter and discovery took center stage, as always, for adventurers of all ages. This year's program included the Australian program line Endless Skies, in addition to performances by artists from all over the world. Artist-in-Residence in 2024 was Ukrainian singer, musician, festival creator, teacher and cultural researcher Maryana Golovchenko, from Kiev.
Although an emergency evacuation on Sunday due to approaching thunderstorms briefly interrupted the program, that did not stop audiences and performers from fully enjoying the special sounds that once again made the festival so unique.
