Well, since they’re here anyway! Finnish accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen and Swedish reed player Mats Gustafsson aren’t just performing with their own thrilling projects at Music Meeting—they’ll also take the stage together. Two musicians with seemingly boundless energy and an equally immense imagination. Musically, anything can happen: they are endlessly curious, and whether through sheer willpower or sheer virtuosity, they are capable of just about anything. Both bring their strong musical personalities to the table—an essential ingredient for a deep, meaningful conversation. Whether they draw from jazz, rock, or any of their many other influences, that conversation will surprise, challenge, and truly mean something.
