Baiuca

Alejandro Guillán, better known by his stage name Baiuca, has only been active for four years. But in the meantime he has grown into one of the most important and surprising electronic musicians from Spain today.

Baiuca lives in Madrid, but his heart is still in Galicia - where he grew up. There he finds inspiration in age-old chants, poetry, songs and rhythms with Celtic and North African influences. Baiuca incorporates these elements into his 'folktronica' blend of Galician folklore and mysticism with compelling electronic grooves.

Despite his young career, Baiuca has performed more than 200 times worldwide in countries ranging from Mexico to France and from South Africa to Switzerland. He also released several EPs and albums. During Music Meeting he will perform work from his latest album Embruxo. Spotify chose Baiuca as the first Spanish electronics producer to compile the prestigious Track ID playlists.
