Donde vive la música II - presented by Brenda Navarrete
For Cuba, even more than for many European countries, music is part of everyday life. Deeply rooted in the culture and DNA of the people. From formal to the corner of the street. From concert halls to gardens and kitchens. Young, old, professional or amateur: music is reflected in every aspect of Cuban life.
In the three-part series Donde Vive la Música, we embark on a journey with composer and percussionist extraordinaire Brenda Navarrete, who explores in various ways the places in Havana where music really lives.
Episode 2: 'Music Without Borders'
Diverse genres and styles ranging from classical to the latest pop music: the second episode of Donde Vive la Música takes you on a tour through the musically rich city of Havana. Musical influences are absorbed here like a sponge and reverberate in various places in the city in a huge variety of sounds. Like in the studio of República Records, where traditional patterns are broken. Or in Fábrica de Arte Cubano, which is open to music projects in all kinds of genres. Music is there to be experienced!
