Donde vive la música I - presented by Brenda Navarrete
For Cuba, even more than for many European countries, music is part of everyday life. Deeply rooted in the culture and DNA of the people. From formal to the corner of the street. From concert halls to gardens and kitchens. Young, old, professional or amateur: music is reflected in every aspect of Cuban life.
In the three-part series Donde Vive la Música, we embark on a journey with composer and percussionist extraordinaire Brenda Navarrete, who explores in various ways the places in Havana where music really lives.
Episode I: Community Projects
The first episode of Donde Vive la Música provides an insight into the variety of musical social projects organized in the Cuban capital. Think of percussion workshops that are combined with dance, or a music teacher playing the ukulele in a circle of enthusiastic singing toddlers. Because: music connects and celebrates life.
Music Meeting x AM:PM
Donde Vive la Música was created in collaboration with our Cuban production partner AM:PM and hostess Brenda Navarrete, one of the most famous and reputed Cuban artists of the moment. Navarrete will also be performing at Music Meeting Festival 2022!
