Naamu
- Saturday 18 May 16:10 - 17:10 (NIKKO)
Sparkling African grooves fueled by a hard-swinging bass
Naamu's pulsating rhythms are compelling in a relaxed way. It is music that immediately penetrates the body and sets everything in you in motion. Band leader Teun Creemers, with his hard swinging bass, encourages the band to put their whole heart into the beat. With that great groove at its core, Naamu creates music that can be both cheerful and melancholic, music as medicine, music that loudly says: Dance your worries away!
The electric bass and (African) percussion are the driving force of the band, which is partly why the musicians of Naamu get every opportunity to show who they are in their solos. The mixture of tight, compelling grooves with the free spirit of jazz makes Naamu a very exciting act. And then we haven't even mentioned the beautiful and very intense vocals.
