Fuse meets Eliane Correa
NETHERLANDS, LONDON, CUBA | Two unique, virtuoso acts take the stage together.
Two unique, virtuoso acts take the stage together.
On Monday, June 10, two gifted, unique acts share the stage at Music Meeting. Eliane Correa is the classically trained pianist behind the six-piece band Wara, with their explosive latin and political lyrics. She’s a pianist, a composer, a musicologist, as well as a bandleader. Fuse, meanwhile, is a six-piece Dutch ensemble with an exceptional line-up, consisting of a string quartet with percussion and a double bass.
Fuse is known for mixing jazz and classical music, seemingly effortlessly. Together these acts have their fair share of experience on the stage. Fuse played over 600 shows in under six years. “From smokey clubs and serene churches, to festivals and concert halls,” to quote their own words. Correa (who’s also one of our Artists in Focus) has performed at many venues as well. Her various projects have brought her to places like London and Havana, and New York and Buenos Aires. When these two forces come together, you’d better be prepared for a playful, technical, and above all surprising show.
