Buma Cultuur presents: Salaasa, Amsterdam based trio blending the Arabic Ud with drums and piano.

Salaasa's style is best described as an exciting mix of jazz and Arabic music. Salaasa's repertoire consists of compositions by all band members, with the use of Haytham's ud, a pear-shaped stringed instrument widely used in Middle Eastern music, playing a major role. Add to this Matteo's sometimes lyrical and then energetic playing, only to be ignited by Osama's rhythmic fireworks.
