    Happy International Women's Day!

Today is 8th March - International Women’s Day - we mark our declaration to be part of the @keychangeeu movement that guarantees 50/50 presence of female and non-binary musicians at the festival. Moreover, Music Meeting knows this is about more than just numbers, it’s also about exposure of female band leaders, with a strong focus on instrumentalists.

We stand by our artists and ALL in the world. This year we have made a commitment more than ever to equality in our programming:

✨ Our resident Emine Bostanci will perform at the festival with Dareyn Quartet will premiere new repertoire in the formation as a quartet. Emine will also be part of the octet which will be world premiering composition commissioned by Music Meeting - the piece by Armenian composer Ardashes Agoshian titled ‘Ancient Istanbul Tales’.
‘Ancient Istanbul Tales’ will be performed on SUNDAY 28 MAY ✨

✨Sue McKenzie is a Yanagisawa UK Artist / D’Addario Woodwinds Artist and a Director of the Scottish Saxophone Academy. She uses a Burton saxophone.
"An exceptional saxophonist" - Saxophone Journal Magazine.

Multifarious will be performing SUNDAY 28 MAY ✨

✨ The all-female and non-binary feminist supergroup COLECTIVA explores the space between Afro-Latin music and jazz while reflecting on themes of sisterhood and female empowerment.
COLECTIVA will be performing MONDAY 29 MAY ✨
