South Korean drummer and composer Sun-Mi Hong will release her new album Heartstone in 2025 with her Amsterdam-based quintet - an intimate and powerful work that connects jazz with personal stories and cultural influences. Since 2016, this close-knit ensemble has explored themes of melancholy, innocence and identity, captured in layered compositions that seamlessly transition into free improvisation. With her unique style and strong bond with the musicians, Hong manages to touch every time.
