Ah, if only they were there! Finnish accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen and Swedish reed player Mats Gustafsson are not only at Music Meeting with their own exciting projects, but will also share the stage. Two men with seemingly inexhaustible energy and an equally impressive imagination. Musically, it can go either way, as the two are boundlessly curious and, whether by willpower or virtuosity, capable of anything. Two men also who each bring great personality as musicians, the much-needed basis for good, substantive conversation. Whether they tap from jazz or rock or one of their many other sources, that conversation will surprise and really be about something.
