Imagine yourself in an imaginary world, somewhere halfway between Barcelona and Florence, where the spicy energy of flamenco meets the nuanced elements of jazz. That sums up the world of the international company Barencia. A special fusion of music, dance, traditions and unknown areas. The group consists of the virtuoso Catalan pianist Xavi Torres, the Florentine drummer Bernardo Guerra, known for his work with the Italian pianist Stefano Bollani, and the young Italian double bass player Michelangelo Scandroglio. To give the whole extra cachet, the award-winning Mexican Karen Lugo colours the music with innovative flamenco dance. Her firm dancing skills give a beautiful dynamic to Barencia's performances. Rhythm, melody and movement come to life in one go in hypnotic performances. During Music Meeting you will experience a magical fusion of jazz and flamenco in which Barencia explores a new horizon.
