On Sept. 20, 2025, Art Night awakens with renewed vigor! On this enchanting evening, Music Meeting presents special collaborations at two venues - a tip of the hat to next year.
The Bastei - Primal Sound
At Museum De Bastei, Indian classically trained Music Meeting artist Heiko Dijker and dancer Anna Fransen of Arnhemse Meisjes meet for an improvisation of music, dance and exploration of the theme of Primal Sound. To the rhythms of the tabla, underground and among the museum's stuffed animals, they allow the halls and collection to be experienced in a whole new way. In addition, short films by Danscollectief Arnhemse Meisjes, as well as footage from special sessions of Music Meeting, can be seen at various places in De Bastei.
Live performances:
20:00 - 20:20, 21:00 - 21:20, 22:00 - 22:20 and 23:00 - 23:20.
Festival House - Cultural Red Light District
The windows of the Festival House give an exciting glimpse into what's going on culturally inside! Four Nijmegen festival organizations based here (InScience, Go Short, Music Meeting and Wintertuin) are joining forces. With the overarching theme of "Eroticism and Love," they are setting up a cultural "red light district." Expect a continuous program in which alternating films, music and literary readings present themselves behind the windows. On behalf of Music Meeting, singer Shashwathi Jagadish will take you into a world of intoxicating Carnatic sounds. Window shopping has never been so much fun!
Live music performances:
20:15-20:35, 21:15-21:35, 22:15-22:35
