The pair Puuluup is single-handedly breathing new life into the ancient four-stringed lyre, the talharpa. This traditional instrument has been hugely popular since the Middle Ages, particularly in Scandinavia, but is now played mainly in Estonia. What does it sound like in the hands of Puuluup? Original, traditional, punk, and romantic neo-zombie post-folk all rolled into one!

The French-Syrian flutist Naïssam Jalal has composed music for films, among other things, and you can hear that in the thoughtful way she builds atmosphere with her band. Surrounded by a group of star musicians, Jalal reached new heights on her most recent album, Quest of the Invisible. You can hear them live in Nijmegen during Music Meeting!

With Awichas , singer Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti explores the ritual and microtonal music of the Andes, wrapped in hallucinatory rhythms and synthesizer grooves. Danceable, rousing, and spiritually exhilarating.

Finally, we propose OUMY , who, with her warm, powerful voice, blends her Senegalese and Dutch roots into a fascinating musical world—where compelling West African grooves and sparkling indie folk come together in a tasteful blend.
